Nimbus rallies support to provide reliable Commercial Comparables

20/02/2025

Nimbus, as a leading proptech innovator, has secured commitments from major surveying firms to support our Contributed Data Model, a key part of our innovative patent-pending Complete Comparable initiative.

This collaboration aims to create the most comprehensive commercial comparables database the market has ever seen, not just filling the gap left by the closure of EG Radius but also building the solution the market has always been asking for.

With EG Radius shutting down this year, property professionals will lose access to a source of commercial comparable insights, affecting their ability to offer the best advice to clients.

Nimbus’s founders’ primary mission is to support the professional property industry wherever needed, so are naturally stepping in to fill the gap with a surveying firm-led solution that ensures critical and reliable transaction data—including freehold, leasehold, and investment deals.

The shutdown of EG Radius will leave property professionals without:

  • A trusted source of commercial comparables – Previously, surveyors, investors, and agents relied on EG Radius to benchmark property values and track deal activity.
  • Market-wide visibility – Without a centralised platform, firms face challenges in accessing accurate nationwide, cross-sector rental evidence, capital values, and investment yields.
  • A complete and competitive ecosystem – Without EG Radius, the market risks fragmentation and solutions being too narrow.

Dan Holland, sales director at Nimbus, said:

"We recognise the valued role EG Radius played in the market. Our Contributed Data Model not only ensures surveyors continue to access high-quality comparables data but also has access to an even better dataset using Nimbus’ patent-pending data and processes."

Why surveying firms are joining our Contributed Data Model

Surveyors who contribute data will gain exclusive benefits, including:

  • Priority access to proprietary market intelligence – A broader, more detailed dataset providing deeper insights than ever before.
  • Advanced data capabilities – AI-driven tools such as machine reading of documents and Nimbus’s patent-pending Complete Comparable process.
  • Discounted Nimbus subscription – Proportional to the level of data contributed, users will also get access to the award-winning Nimbus Maps, for a discounted rate so they are rewarded for their contributions.

Our solution: an industry-led, data-rich alternative

Our Contributed Data Model provides an enhanced, collaborative alternative, benefiting not just surveying firms, but all users of Nimbus, including investors, developers, and agents.

  • Surveyors remain at the centre of market insights – Contributing firms retain control over the data they share while gaining priority access to enriched data of those comparables.
  • Better data for everyone – The pooled dataset strengthens the intelligence available to all Nimbus users, improving decision-making for developers, investors, and occupiers.
  • Collaborative pricing – Unlike closed ecosystems, by collaborating some costs can be shared allowing for those within the network to benefit from better buying powers.
  • Combining crowdsourced data - Along with other proprietary datasets, our Complete Comp initiative ensures that the industry will benefit from the richest, highest-quality comparables—putting surveyors and property professionals at the heart of the roadmap.

The closure of EG Radius has left a huge gap, but with Nimbus stepping in to fill it, we’re ensuring property professionals will not only still have access to reliable comparables, but will benefit from even better datasets,” Holland added… “By rewarding contributors and making this data available across our platform, we’re not just replacing what was lost—we’re building the future of commercial comparables based on collaboration with the marketplace.”
