What's new in Nimbus: Monthly footfall data now live

08/05/2025

At Nimbus, we know how important it is to have the right information at your fingertips, especially when it comes to choosing the perfect retail or service-led property. That’s why we’re excited to announce a brand new update to our platform: the enhanced footfall layer, now with monthly data and a handy pop-up for every site.

What’s new?

We’ve listened to your feedback. Previously, our footfall layer showed colour bands on the map, giving you a quick sense of how busy an area might be. But we heard from many of you (owners, surveyors, and agents alike), that you wanted more detail.

With our latest release, you can now click on any site and see the actual footfall values, all in a simple pop-up. This means you can spot seasonal trends, like summer surges or winter lulls at a glance. We’ve also added a new “daily average” view, showing the hourly rate of footfall averaged over a full day, so you can get a true sense of the area’s rhythm.

Footfall

Why does this matter?

For anyone working in retail property - whether you’re looking for your next high street unit, planning a drive-thru, or advising clients on the best locations, knowing when and how people move is crucial.

With monthly footfall data, you can:

  • Compare sites more accurately, even if they’re in the same colour band
  • Understand how footfall changes throughout the year
  • Make smarter, more confident decisions for your business or your clients

Try it today

Ready to see the difference? Either log in to Nimbus and explore the new footfall layer for yourself. Alternatively, get in touch with a member of the Nimbus team today to see this updated feature in actions.
