What is a Levels Survey?
Levels surveys provide accurate spot heights across your site and neighbouring properties.
Why do I need one?
In the early stages of scheme design many sites are designed up assuming they are flat. this means that abnormals costs for retaining structures (e.g. retaining walls) and additional costs for schemes where invert levels of drains are higher than site levels are unknown. This means that your development appraisal is missing key costs which ultimately come out of your profit or mean you are overpaying for the land you are buying.
How does Nimbus® Maps help?
By providing accurate levels surveys quickly and cost effectively at the start of your project, you and your design team can design up your schemes in full knowledge of how the scheme lays out, where levels issues are and to what extent, so you are clear on what impact that has on your overall scheme viability.
How are they created?
LiDAR is an aerial way of measuring the height of land and buildings by bouncing beams off the ground from airplanes flying over the ground. This is used to generate a detailed an accurate levels survey (accurate in height to within 2cm) which gives you and your team a 3D view of your site and the neighbouring sites which is then overlayed onto the Ordnance Survey Mastermap.
How is it delivered?
Your levels survey is provided in digital format in .pdf and .dxf formats in just 1-2 business days.
