International women’s day is a celebration of our female friends, family & colleagues that lead and contribute to society. It is an opportunity for us all to shine a spotlight on the challenges and project the voices of women in the property industry.
Nimbus Maps proudly benefits from 50% female representation in its senior management team and today we wanted to highlight some of our colleagues from behind the Nimbus scenes.

Developing the software at Nimbus, developing the main platform, supporting customers, bespoke projects.
How do you find working in development/male-dominated industry?
It can be challenging working in a male-dominated industry, normally I am the only woman on the development team.
How could you contribute your expertise/experience or ideas to empower other women?
Don’t be afraid to go into the industry – it’s not as scary as you think.
What is your role at Nimbus?
Lead customer/ success team in order to assist customers through their journey with nimbus in order to help them make informed decisions.
What’s the most important piece of advice you’d give to a woman thinking of starting a career in management?
Being confident in your ability and self-worth, working as a unit with your team is key, being able to share when you’re struggling – sharing strength and weakness, listening to other people’s perspectives, having the drive to push for greatness and don’t worry about failure – learning from your mistakes is key to reaching success.

What is your role at Nimbus?
Senior management team, lead the marketing team to ensure people in the industry understand how Nimbus Maps can support them.
What’s the most important piece of advice you’d give to a woman thinking of starting a career in management/ marketing?
Have integrity, be clear on what your values are and build a team of people that have similar values to yourself. Be supportive of your peers. Approach staff at all levels with the same respect and values.

What is your role at Nimbus?
Mainly focusing on growing brand awareness and conveying brand values to our audience effectively.
What’s the most important piece of advice you’d give to a woman thinking of starting a career in marketing?
Have confidence in the value that you bring to your role and the decisions you make. Strive for greatness, don’t be scared of asking too many questions or making mistakes, these are the things that will help you grow in both professional and personal spheres in the long term. Be open to your colleague's perspectives and criticism and maintain a collaborative mindset.
